It's very rare these days to find a company that still upholds quality & sercive like John Smedley does. I've worn there sea island cotton/marino wool peices since the mid 80's and never had any issues at all. One peice i bought a few years back lost quite a bit of colour in places,now i'd put that down to wear & tear over the years.
So while browsing there on line site there's a live chat section so i started chating with one of there staff about the said piece. Well the outcome was as follows.

Dear Paul
Thank you for sending your Smedley purchase for me to have a look at and try to analyse the cause.
I have sent out to you today a replacement called Hunter in China Blue, this is from the A/W2011 collection.
I hope you find this acceptable

Theres alot of companys could learn something there if they want customers to come back again in these hard times.
