| To say it's spoilt for choice for them at the moment (and a good one) is an understatement, as the mountain parka or sub trail parka's / 60/40's etc are on so many label's book's it's a pretty hard task choosing the right one, i've had my fill of 60/40's to be fair, don't get me wrong i like them a lot but I have had enough to last me now for a while and the parka has to be a bit special or different in look's or texture for me to venture there, with a lot of the resurge vintage label's only stocking in japan the one's I really wanted I could'nt get hold of. Woolrich woolen mill's, Crescent down work's, Engineered Garments, Penfield, Sierra designs, Garbstore.... (I could go on here but I won't) are all very nice in their own right's (and i've owned them and passed them on) but just not what I am looking for although I did keep hold of the 60/40 Penfield 2 tone as i enjoy the colour's and the length unlike the woolrich effort's in the s/summer 2010. so during my searches the past 12 month's in trying to find my ideal mountain parka there's a few taken my fancy and if you have any to add feel free to inspire me as i'm still only 90% sure that i'll be picking up the trail parka I have planned next week, some eye porn for you........i'll get the tissue's Rocky mountain featherbed Norse Projects x oi polloi japanese label "M" Unrivalled - this is the cookie i slept on and lost out in my size, gutted but hey ho, i'm sure there's plenty more to rival... Penfield kasson orange wool, this would be lovely for me if it did'nt have the silly green check lineing and blue limoland emblem on the sleeve Schott trail parka (due out 2011 s/s) preview in green, no schott label thank god, I love this and it's a serious contender for me parting with my apple green Albam fisherman's cagoule to make way for it Engineered Garments parka and i still kick myself now for not snappint it up on oi polloi Hectic red gingham 60/40 Wings & Horns chambray - gorgeous just too small in sizing Heritage Research longline parka - again another i slept on and missed Monitaly mustard mountain parka - there's a pattern developing here of parka's i missed out on (note to self stop thinking more buying) And lastly Heritage Research wildnerness parka in red tweed, They were around for 5 day's odd and then gone in my size, when mailing them asking for stockist's they said oh when theyve gone there gone, i know peggs & son brighton had one and i think it was present london who had the other but not in my size | |

| the soon to land Penfield Tweed parka looks smart also.
that Rocky Mountain is OK, but the shorter Gortex version is superb in that exact colourway.

| I'm not keen on any of these mountain parkas, they're all form over function, and really such an item should actually be able to be worn up a mountain. | |

| Got the Engineered Garments Parka above in beige, and its been a big favourite for a long time now, seems to look the part with just about anything, also have the first Penfield one, still with tags on as always had better options, I guess it should be moved on but general lethargy prevents sales of a room full of stuff. | |

| I've got loads of these and have sold on more than I've got left.
Got a Sierra Designs 60/40, EG the same as above but navy, various vintage ones which IMO are more interesting and better made than the likes of Penfield. Cheap too in most cases.
Know what you mean about them getting boring but the pics above show there's enough variation on the theme to keep them interesting enough for a while yet.

| I've got one of those heritage longline parkas in olive, tagged, for 100 quid if anyone's interested. It says xl, but is more like a L. | |

| I've got rid of that Heritage jacket now. Gutted as I liked it, but the size was too slim for me.
I have that orange Penfield collaboration parka. I took the badge at the bottom of the sleeve off, problem solved...

| yes in the flesh. The chambray lining is only in the hood, not throughout. The jacket feels really heavy and not good. Not doubting the quality of course but there is no "wow" factor about it.
Was certainly impressed with the "cola" heavy chino's and the basic hoody in light grey marl, but not with the chambray shirt that has been posted up on here, i didn't like the over-the-head look.

The over-head shirt's are personal taste's though, you either love them or hate them imo, I can give or take the hoody's as I dont think they cut it enough and are a bit standard, back to the drawing board on an olive or forest green jacket though

Waitig for it to be delivered as we live and breathe.
